We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Types of Data Collected

Usage Data

We may also collect information how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Cookies & Browser Storage

Helik uses cookies and browser storage to provide requested features such as security, sign-in, restoring a sign-in destination and saving a writing draft. We also remember your cookie choice so you are not asked on every visit.

Optional preferences are off until you actively allow them. They control optional popup announcements and their reminder history. You can reject them, customize your choice or withdraw consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Closing the preferences window, scrolling or continuing to browse does not grant consent.

We use an approximate country supplied by Cloudflare to select regional privacy settings. In the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics and AdSense stay off until you allow the relevant category. Elsewhere, Analytics and non-personalized Advertising may start automatically. If the region cannot be determined, we ask for consent. Your valid saved choices override regional defaults; optional popup preferences always require your choice. Pro and other ad-free accounts never show ads. Global Privacy Control disables Analytics and Advertising.

• Cookie choice — helik_cookie_consent, first-party local storage. Stores your explicit necessary/optional choices, policy version, choice time and expiry for 180 days. Regional defaults are not stored as consent. After a choice expires, regional defaults apply again or we ask for consent where required. Earlier popup-only choices are preserved with Analytics and Advertising off.
• Sign-in — helik-web-ui-access-token, first-party local storage, used when you sign in and removed when you sign out or the session is invalidated. Sign-in return paths use session storage and are cleared after the callback or when the browser session ends.
• Writing draft — helik_autosave_* local storage, written while using the Writing editor to preserve your draft until you clear it.
• Optional announcement reminders — helik_popup_history, first-party local storage. Records which campaigns you have seen and when. It is used only with optional preference consent and is cleared when consent is withdrawn or expires. No account or browsing profile is stored in this record.
• Optional analytics — Google Analytics uses first-party _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish visits and measure page navigation, with a maximum lifetime of two years. They are created when Analytics is enabled under your regional settings or explicit choice, and removed by this app when you disable Analytics. We do not send account identifiers, form contents or arbitrary URL query parameters to Analytics.
• Optional advertising — Google AdSense uses cookies and third-party requests to deliver non-personalized ads, limit repeated ads, prevent abuse and measure delivery. Choosing Reject optional or withdrawing Advertising consent removes banners and stops this app from requesting further ads. Third-party advertising cookies can also be cleared in your browser settings.
• Choosing Reject optional keeps necessary features available. You can also clear saved storage through your browser; regional defaults will apply again or you will be asked for your cookie choice where required.

Use of Data

Helik uses the collected data for various purposes:

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To notify you about changes to our Service
• To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
• To provide customer care and support
• To provide analysis or valuable information so that we can improve the Service
• To monitor the usage of the Service
• To detect, prevent and address technical issues

Transfer Of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to - and maintained on - computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United States and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Helik will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
